Another Child Dies in CPS Custody
When child welfare agencies step in to remove children from their home, it’s under the guise of keeping them safe. But like most other adversarial things the government does, they fail miserably in this task too. Government bureaucracies do not make very good parents, and few people realize that kids are more likely to be abused, neglected, murdered and killed in foster care than they are in their natural homes.
Among the latest tradegedies comes a case out of Alabama. After pulling a child out of day care to take him to a supervised visit with his parents, a child wellfare worker decided to run some personal errands afterwards before returning him to preshcool. She then forgot about the boy and drove home, leaving the 3 year old straped inside his carseat. That was at 12:30. But at 4:30 the child care center called and asked why the boy wasn’t returned. By this time he was dead, another victim of a hot car.
