Help Us Help Others:

On any given moment over half-a-million children in the U.S. are in foster care. This is more than a benign living arrangement: Being removed from one’s family and placed into foster care is a highly dramatic experience, and foster kids can suffer from all manner of psychological and behavioral problems.

Sadly, many foster kids find themselves in less than desirable situations, being shuffled around from one foster home to another. They often feel like second-class citizens with no place where they truly belong.  Foster kids are often referred to as America’s forgotten children, and for far too many, this label certainly applies.

The resources in this area will help you better understand the state of our foster care system and the challenges that foster children face.  Those working with foster kids will also learn some valuable tips for better dealing with these vulnerable youth.
