The fire house has a kitchen so that the firefighters can prepare their meals. This way they’ll have plenty of energy if they need to come rescue you. Sometimes a firefighter might prepare their own meal, but at many stations there’s a designated cook who prepares meals for everyone. If a call comes in during supper they have to stop eating and rush to the call.
