Another Reason To Exercise
Exercise has long been known to boost mental and physical health in a variety of ways. Now you can add cancer fighting abilities to that list of benefits. It’s been known for quite some time that exercise reduces the risk of cancer, but a new study shows exercise habits actually affect the outcomes once people develop cancer.
A recent study found that those who had the worst outcomes once chemoradiation began were those who had been the least active prior to that. Fifty-percent of the non-exercisers required hospitalization during treatment, and 55% died within 18 months, compared to 9% and 25% among the more active people, respectively.
